"This is a quite striking memorial to the more than 100k Wisconsinites who served in the Korean War. I have passed it on I39 for years and finally pulled in for a visit. It is quite peacefully situated on a small island in the middle of what appears to be an artificial lake. It is accessible by a causeway. The copse of pines on the island is reminiscent of a Korean setting. There are plaques explaining the statues and also detailing the involvement of wisconsinites in the war. Behind the statues are several walls identifying the sponsors of the memorial and commemorating the lives of many who fought. There is also a picnic area behind the memorial."
