About This Memorial

Memorial Hill in Midway, Utah, originally known as 'Uncle Jesse's Mound,' was established to honor war veterans from multiple conflicts. The site was purchased by Wasatch County using locally levied taxes for memorial purposes, with development guided by David A. Broadbent and the American Legion around 1927. The memorial features a spiral road leading to the top and originally had pillars with brass plaques listing veterans' names, though these were later stolen by vandals.

"This place has the best view of midway&heber. You can see the whole valley from here and it’s not a high hill, easy to hike. Must show respect to people who served our great nation."
