About This Memorial

Heroes Memorial Park in Kyle, Texas serves as a tribute to U.S. military veterans and first responders, commemorating their service and sacrifices. The park's centerpiece is a Memorial Garden featuring an honor wall, remembrance totem, and a unique 9/11 memorial where sunlight illuminates a bronze emblem annually on September 11. Notable design elements include a 152-foot-long display with a lenticular U.S. flag that reveals historical imagery as visitors move. The memorial honors Hays County service members killed in action since World War I, with a Missing Man Table for fallen or missing military personnel. While focusing on all military conflicts, it particularly emphasizes the 9/11 attacks through its symbolic light feature.

"This memorial park had it’s ribbon cutting on 09/11/22 just a couple days ago. It is a beautiful addition to this area. I’ve been seeing progress of this park since day 1 and it’s a very nice to see it completed. They have a Time Capsule there which is pretty cool. This is a nice place to have lunch or just walk around. I spotted some ducks in the water. I hope this park is kept clean and the wild life can enjoy it too. It won’t take long to walk around and look at everything but it sure is a beautiful memorial. I parked in Hays Performing arts parking lot. There is plenty of parking there. Definitely go check it out in person and bring a lunch so you can enjoy to scenery. They have tables and plenty of benches."
