
About This Memorial
Veterans Memorial Park in Irving, Texas honors local veterans who served the United States, with its first phase completed in 2004 and an expansion funded by 2006 bond funds. The park features bronze statues of veteran soldiers, commemorative walls describing military branches and war locations, a Fountain of Hope, River of Freedom, and a World Map of Confrontation. It includes a main memorial wall listing names of residents who died in service, with personalized granite blocks available for public dedication. The park commemorates veterans from various wars, with its second phase dedicated in May 2009, attended by U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison.
