About This Memorial
The Texas Panhandle War Memorial honors veterans from multiple conflicts including the Spanish-American War, World Wars I and II, Korea, Vietnam, and more recent wars like Afghanistan and Iraq. Located in Amarillo, Texas, its mission is to commemorate military service and sacrifice through education and public events. The memorial features a 15,000 square foot education center with military artifacts, a chapel, and a memorial park on nearly 3 acres. It currently hosts the 'Remembering Our Fallen' traveling exhibit honoring over 5,000 service members lost in the Global War on Terrorism. The site serves as both a tribute to fallen heroes and an educational resource about military history.

"For the low price they ask, you'll get a nice experience. Wonderful docents excited to show what they have on display. Of particular interest was a display of letters from around the world that told parts of the story of WWII. Very well done. They also have a fairly rare 49-star flag that only flew at government facilities for one year."
