"This memorial was created by an Italian sculptor, Aristide Berto Cianfarani; it's made of granite and and bronze. It's located next to the Point Street Bridge on Point Street. There are two sides; four male soldiers with rifles, each representing the Marines, Navy, Army, and Armed Forces; four females in the military are on the right side. I really appreciate the representation of the females in this sculpture. The symbol of peace which are olive branches and a bald eagle, which is the national symbol for the U.S. can be seen on it. I was walking by and had to stop and admire it."
