"This part of the park sits next to the Farmer's Market in Kinston and is on the path to Pearson Park. Facing Herritage Street, it is on the corner of Herritage and 11/55 on the Neuse River. It is a very beautiful part of the park dedicated to recognizing Lenoir County veterans. Many of the bricks that surround the monument pay tribute to the veterans in the area, and some of these bricks date back to veterans of the American Revolution. It is a place I would highly recommend you take your children and grandchildren and show them their history."
