About This Memorial

The 20th Century Veterans Memorial in North Platte, Nebraska, honors military personnel from all branches of service and commemorates the five major conflicts of the 20th century, from World War I to the first Iraq War. Its notable features include bronze statues representing the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard, as well as a 15-foot brick bas-relief mural depicting these conflicts. The memorial also includes a Walk of Honor lined with commemorative bricks bearing veterans' names. Adjacent to it is the Lincoln County Law Enforcement Memorial, which pays tribute to 11 local officers who died in the line of duty since 1916.
