About This Memorial

The Denny Craycraft Veterans Freedom Park is a growing memorial park that began in 2012 with the reconstruction of Belding's historic Freedom Wall. It honors Michigan veterans from multiple conflicts including WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and Desert Storm/Desert Shield through various monuments and engraved bricks. Notable features include the original Freedom Wall with 754 stars for WWII veterans, a Vietnam memorial with 2,654 names of Michigan's fallen, and personalized commemorative bricks. The park continues to expand through private donations, currently working on a Desert Storm memorial. It serves as a comprehensive tribute to local military service across 20th century conflicts.
