"This Veterans Memorial is named after a Leominster native who lost his life in Iraq on February 9, 2009. It also remembers 3 other soldiers and a translator who were serving with him and also killed. The kiosk tells the story and explains each of the memorials features. There are photos of members of the armed forces from Massachusetts that have been killed in the Global War on Terrorism. There are many teaching points. It is easy to park in the gravel lot and navigate the site which is well maintained. The site is very well lit at night and next to a river which looked beautiful even in winter. It is also close to route 2 and can be noisy but provides easy access from several exits."
