About This Memorial

The Jeffersontown Veterans Memorial Park is Kentucky's first park dedicated solely to veterans, spanning 25 acres. Its centerpiece is the 60-foot-long Freedom Wall monument with 15 laser-etched glass panels honoring all five U.S. military branches through silhouettes, historical quotes, and military correspondence. The park commemorates American veterans from all conflicts, featuring a Walk of Veterans with inscribed brick pavers and military artifacts including a Huey helicopter and M-60A tank. Additional elements include the Tri An Monument recognizing American-Vietnamese wartime cooperation and a 30,000-square-foot memorial plaza unveiled in 2018.

"Definitely worth a drive thru! The military scenery and props are awesome in the snow! Did a sunrise scenic drive the morning after 4" snow in NE Louisville November 2024. This is how it looked. It was open, and beautiful, well maintained. Plenty of parking. Seems caricaturish, rather than honorary, but the park has so many sections for so many uses, and that I appreciated what it was trying to do to honor veterans of all wars Photos are my own and follow DMCA protections."
