Central Florida Veterans Memorial Park
About This Memorial
The Central Florida Veterans Memorial Park at Lake Nona honors approximately 1,200 veterans from six Central Florida counties who died while serving the United States. Dedicated in 2013, it serves as both a remembrance for fallen heroes and a healing space near the Orlando VA Medical Center. The memorial features granite monuments with names of the fallen, organized by specific wars including World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and Post Vietnam conflicts. Its design integrates shaded seating areas and landscaped surroundings to create a meditative environment. The project was a community effort with donated architectural and construction services.

"Peaceful memorial, tucked in behind the VA and overlooking a quiet lake. The main arch is flanked by a series of obelisks, noting members of the Central Florida community who sacrificed their lives in wars past (WWI, WWII, Vietnam…) to protect our freedom. It’s a place to come and ponder their gift, and what that freedom means. Thank you to all who have served."
