About This Memorial
The VUMMF Vietnam Unit Memorial Monument commemorates the 2,564 Navy and Coast Guardsmen who died in Vietnam between 1960 and 1975. Its centerpiece is a memorial wall with thirty stainless steel panels displaying the names of the fallen, along with recipients of the Medal of Honor and Navy Cross. The monument also features restored Swift Boats, PBRs, and CCB craft representing the 'Brown Water Navy' that operated during the Vietnam War. This memorial serves as a tribute to the naval forces' sacrifices during the conflict. The site preserves the legacy of these servicemen through its physical artifacts and engraved remembrance.
