
About This Memorial
The Arkadelphia Confederate Monument is a marble sculpture depicting a Confederate Army soldier, erected in 1911 on the grounds of the Clark County Courthouse in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Commissioned by the United Daughters of the Confederacy, it commemorates Confederate soldiers from the American Civil War. The monument features Italian marble for the soldier figure and Georgia marble for its base, designed by R. P. Phillips. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.
