About This Memorial
The Arizona Heroes Memorial honors Veterans, First Responders, and Healthcare workers of Arizona, inspired by personal experiences of its founder Dick Eggerding, including the loss of a fellow soldier in Korea before the 1953 armistice. The memorial, which broke ground in 2023, aims to rejuvenate patriotism through ceremonies, educational programs, and ongoing honorary services. Its design is both beautiful and awe-inspiring, serving as a community landmark to educate and honor those who have served. The memorial commemorates sacrifices from multiple conflicts, including the Korean War, and broader service to the nation.

"The amount of projects at naranja Park that remain unfinished or half done is appalling. The fact they made sure that this was finished in its entirety landscape beautifully is a testament to waste. Also Big Star thing in the middle looks goofy."
