About This Memorial

The Anchorage Veterans' Memorial on the Delaney Park Strip honors Alaskan citizens lost in wars including WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Grenada, the Gulf War, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Originally built 26 years prior, its renovation added disabled access, lighting, and new artistic elements while preserving bronze panels listing the fallen and a WWII soldier statue.
