About This Memorial

The USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park is a state memorial honoring Alabamians who served valiantly in all U.S. armed conflicts. It features the historic USS Alabama battleship and USS Drum submarine, along with an aircraft pavilion, tanks, artillery displays, and park memorials. The park commemorates veterans from all branches of the U.S. Armed Services across all wars. Its mission includes educating the public about veterans' sacrifices while preserving these historic military artifacts for future generations.

"When you pay to enter the park grounds, I highly suggest starting here. There's dedicated parking for the Alabama Korean War Memorial, so you don't have to walk back to this exhibit. I also suggest planning for 20 to 30 minutes to fully take in this memorial. There is so much to view and take in. The hubs and I started here and took our time walking the memorial. Keep in mind there is a sidewalk to lead you the memorial."
